


Frederick II Hohenstaufen, called " Stupor Mundi ", spent his youth in the Kingdom of Sicily. He managed to bring prestige to the southern lands of the Italian Peninsula, as opposed to the current governors, and is therefore remembered and celebrated as a great man.
