OBSCURO SABBA - THE ORIGINS OF METAL
Year of Our Lord 1968, City of Prosciuttobirmano, Albion isle. Four outcast youths (Ozzo Osborneo, Antonio Yomo, Old Butler, Count Repartus), tired of sweet melodies and frivolous ditties, chose to wield hurdy-gurdies, contrabassoons, lutes and drums to forge something never heard before.
To find inspiration for writing their songs, they decided to perform a black mass (hence the band's name) and sell their souls to Satan. The Prince of Darkness, ever eager to gather new souls to swell his ranks, gladly accepted and granted the musicians unparalleled compositional skills.
Thus were born the first four collections of the Obscuro Sabba, unanimously considered the founding pillars of Heavy Metal: "Nigra Tregenda", "Obsessionatus", "Magister dell'esistente" et "TetraTomo".
But as the saying goes, the Devil makes the cauldrons but not the lids, and over the years the unity of the minstrels waned due to the pipe herbs and other alchemical substances gifted by Lucifer.
