The 2026 Calendar of Feudalesimo e Libertà

The Calendar of the Ancient Explorers
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the ancient explorers with the MMXXVI Calendar of Feudalesimo e Libertà! Forged by the skilled hands of master papermakers and illuminated with the finest quills and pigments of Europe, this precious artifact aims to celebrate the most illustrious and influential travelers who, between the Middle Ages and the early modern era, explored distant and exotic lands.
Among them were those who set sail in search of new trade routes (Columbus and Magellan), those who journeyed to spread the word of God (Dominicans and Jesuits), and those who merely desired to gain new lands (the Conquistadores). Some left memoirs and diaries of what they saw (such as "The Travels of Marco Polo"), while others are known thanks to oral tradition or contemporary accounts.
In addition to the best-known European explorers, in the Calendar you will also find travelers and wanderers from other lands: from Chinese admiral Zheng He, who with his fleet of junks reached the African coasts, to Leif Erikson, the first Norseman to reach the American continent 5 centuries before Columbus, passing through the great Berber explorer Ibn Battuta and his expeditions in Persia, India, and Southeast Asia.

THE KRAKEN SHIRT
The Kraken is a legendary sea monster of cyclopean size, generally depicted as a gigantic cephalopod similar to a squid or an octopus, which wraps ships with its elongated tentacles until it drags them to the depths.
The legend originated between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries, fueled by alleged sightings of various types of sea monsters following the opening of ocean routes and high-sea navigation. It is very likely that many of these sightings were in fact specimens of giant or colossal squid, yet the legend still persists today.
In popular culture, the Kraken appears in numerous literary works by Walter Scott and Thomas Love Peacock, as well as in the famous novels Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne, Moby Dick by Herman Melville, and The Toilers of the Sea by Victor Hugo. Moreover, in "The Lord of the Rings", a giant monster (called "The Watcher in the Water") attacks the fellowship at the gates of Moria.
